i don't like it. i really prefer it when it comes to a full end, tragic or happy, it doesn't matter as long as there's a fixed ending. if the ending is "open to interpretation" i'd end up overthinking everything which would lead to me spiraling LMFAOOO

It depends but 90% of the time I dislike them as I don't like overthinking things. Specially if this "open" ending is like acting a sequel will come but won't. That's not how you do open endings but most directors seem to think that way. Like I'd prefer the ending be more like me guessing whether or not this person survives or die. I love an ambiguous ending that's written well because there's something tantalising about a story or outcome being left open to interpretation. plus points if the story and plot r good reply
