What with Korean and American Football?
I was reading jinx and there was alternative Joo Jaekyung if he was american football player. That realized make me realize. What with Korea and they're mentioning with football but never played it???
Like you can find manhwa playing Soccer, Baseball, and even Basketball. But they never played American Football only mentioning it??
So do they watch American Football or have they even played the sport at all???
It's an Eyeshield 21 reference! That "YA-HA!" small text is the famous catchphrase of one of the protagonists of the manga, Hiruma Yoichi.
ES21 is a 2002 Japanese manga about American Football. The story is by Riichieo Inagaki and the artist behind it is Yusuke Murata, the same artist behind One Punch Man :D

Idk they probably just like the aesthetic of it. That's not to say they don't play the sport in Korea, just because it originated in America doesn't mean that only Americans can play it. I don't think it really matters either way. I will say though that I've never read a bl centered around American football, and that's understandable bc other sport...... reply
From what I've heard, American football is not as popular outside of America. That's probably a good thing considering how many football players end up with traumatic brain damage because of the nature of the sport. I would imagine a large part of the reason why it's not popular outside of the Americas is because most of the world doesn't grow up p...... 1 reply
Huh? Korea is really big on soccer, baseball and basketball wym. I think they're more big on like soccer lol, Korea is one of the few Asian countries to compete internationally... They have few famous athletes... Maybe I don't know, look at the country outside of yaoi????Korea is good at the sports field, they consistently rank TOP on the Olympics....... 3 reply
