like bffr. i see people talking about it having no story or little to no development often but I feel that's just not true? The whole story of this manga is about a boy coming to terms with and understanding having a crush on another boy in his class. Plus their relationship has developed a ton since it began. Just because it's not a full on yaoi where they end up together doesn't mean there wasn't any development. It started with Nakamura being terrified to even talk to Hirose and we watched as they slowly became closer and now Hirose even trusts him with some of his secrets like how he felt about his girlfriend. I do understand the discomfort around Hirose and his teacher but even then it isn't even really a relationship like that, at most Hirose might have a crush on the teacher but we never really see him reciprocate like that. I also feel that just because we don't know if they'll end up together it's not a "bad story" or "not worth reading" Can it not just be valuable for what it is? AND PLUS. i am gonna repeat it again. that what hirose felt towards that teacher was admiration. (yes. even the creator confirmed it) and i also heard about some art that the creator drawed art about them(mostly i saw people talking about that it's NSFW) first of all, one of the reasons must be cause it's BL. and two of the reasons might be just that syundei created mostly works about student-teacher relationships. I think the hate is mostly because Vol. 2 felt like every development that happened in Vol. 1 got kinda side-stepped and Nakamura was back to square one when it comes to his crush. The teacher stuff is also a little meh, though I don't personally think it will go the route some people think it will (though, based on the author's history I get it why most aren't optimistic about it). Then there is the ending, which, well, doesn't exist for Vol. 2, whereas Vol. 1 had a pretty cute ending. Vol. 3 is likely gonna be much better. i always praised the (maybe exaggerated) accuracy of how it feels having a gay crush for a teenager, yeah the teacher thing also made it a bit uncomfortable but sadly it's something that can happen, so, it doesn't make it wrong to mention being scared of such thing (even if it may be driven by jealousy but i like to think there were other concerns in mind during that). just a rant tho. don't kill me
ppl want to sanitize gay work so badly and they're surprised there's little to no gay work left. like you harass the artist and sometimes question them about personal stuff (identity and sexuality) ofc no one want to create something with such toxic community
I think it's because ppl expect too much nowadays, if this was released 8 years ago mfs would glaze the shit about it, for me I found it mid cus im personally not interested in high school romance stories anymore, however I think ppl are bitching too much about it, it's just a normal anime, if it was hetero I wouldn't see anyone that up in the butt about it, like yea the teacher was lowkey pedo shi but come on, at least nothing gets developed between them, with the way ppl are talking you would think they made out or something, like chill bruh I swear there's worse stuff then a dude crushing on his teacher
no one bats an eye when it's an straight manga. but when it comes to yuri/yaois like this, it's a problem. wtf is wrong w/ people these days?? i get that syundei created works like this but please.. death threats r too much

fr tho, even syundei said that exact teacher does not find interest in hirose whatsoever. i personally think people are just too homophobic nowadays-
