Don't listen to the other person, These ai scanlation groups still feed the author's art into ai. If we're gonna read by pirating anyway it's better to atleast not disrespect their work by feeding it into ai, most people can't afford to buy works but you most definitely can translate things by hand even if it's messy

So far, I've noticed the amount of ai scanlators. many translation are actually ai generated or translated by ai and it's very obvious with the patterns of the way the conversations in the bubble speech are delivered. If you were to also check the groups that does these scanlators, they do not credits anyone and it's always "anonymous" works. some of them also have ai generated picture for the said groups. I fear that they might have been feeding the works of the artist into ai, because they're group is very sketchy.
I said ethics just because. it's more of a word play. what i meant is why are we using ai. I am much more against ai scanners than the said ethics. what's worse is the possibility of these works getting fed into ai just so they can scan/translate it. (I apologize for my wordings)
