I'm actually curious if people doing translations of fanslation here gets paid. Especially some recognizable ppl like Akumakira (idk if that's how you spell it, I apologize in advance) or if they're just a devotee of the said manga/hua/hwa and they want to upload it here. In some cases though, there are already watermarks in the pages. I'm not saying I'm complaining that they're doing such jobs!!! Afterall, I'm also a reader of their translation. I'm just curious, is all.
They don't get paid for it, I have seen some translators link their ko-fi or patreon pages though. But as a "donate if you want to" kind of thing, rather than a "donate or I will stop translating this shit" way. There are those shitty AI translation groups that DO lock their shit behind a paywall on their sites, though. reply
