Dark concepts you would like to see represented more respectfully??
Kind of related to my last question but what are some dark concepts and tropes that do get put in stories but are straight up badly represented most of the time?? Obviously rape is the biggest one but other than that?
characters who have intense ocd intrusive thoughts ab things like pedophilia, murder, self harm. And showcase mothers being sexually abusive to their kids especially female ones reply
I feel like a lot of "dark" concepts are already treated cautiously due to the nature of it. Try concepts that challenges societal norms being treated seriously.

I would like to see them represent properly mental illnesses, disorders, trauma, anxiety. Antagonists with trauma that are not "they're just abused" or that their evil just because of their trauma. Anything religious, like how in fantasy settings it's not just about greed when people from the church are evil. reply
I don't really know how to explain it but media calls it 'character with fake personality' or 'complex characters' and i really loved that concept, tho sometimes it's not represented to satisfaction or people hate on it. I think it really makes the story more entertaining and interesting. reply
