Today I was reading about comfort women from ww2 and I immediately thought of guideverse. Aren't guides doing the same thing? The difference is that most comfort women were practically r*ped and tortured to death and guides just do it willingly for money.
It's kinda different imo. In guideverse the whole world is set up so that espers need guides, biologically speaking or else they get corrupted. In ww2 it's just the misogynistic notion that women are objects living for the pleasure of men. This is entirely out of their will and very imbalanced in terms of power. I mean yeah, even in guideverse guides can be exploited but I feel like the situation is better. I feel like you can compare omegaverse and the real world, they have the most similarity with omegas being the vulnerable population
