Yeah def not all but I was specifically referring to more smutty works def there are some good apples just like there are bad but homophobic readers probably wouldn’t gravitate towards one where it navigates the gender norms, taboos, and sexualities of its characters well. They’d prob be reading smth that isn’t focused on the actual relationship, even some yaoi/BL don’t even acknowledge their characters r gay or bi, you always see a quote like “im only gay for you” which completely undermines a character’s sexuality
