I am so disturbed by the casual misogynistic remarks I keep seeing, like I understand hatred and dislike for romance in action/murim/etc manhwas and the like but is it necessary to use degrading terms like bitch/slut/whore…? I mean I honestly usually wouldn’t care a lot since they are fictional characters and all but it does disturb me how easy it is for terms like that be used casually when referencing a woman…a woman that might not even exist most of the times (i.e. people questioning if there’s romance in a manhwa but phrasing it like “are there any bitch/slut/whore in this?” like c’mon.)
Anyways im just ranting because I have seen far too many people refer to women characters as such for the smallest of things LOL but #whatever
As a otome Isekai fan the casual misogyny FROM WOMEN is so disheartening... they'll hate on all the women that even slightly go against the mc but if it's a man and he's also hot it's just "i can fix him" ass comments
You get me !! I also love my rofan and otome isekai but the rashta situation alone made me feel so disheartened…. The women gets hated for less (just being “annoying” or “emotional” can grant greater character lashings compared to actual antagonists) meanwhile men gets loved for the same things—if not less as long as they look good :/
Not even just bl mangas but rofans too…like why is the enemy almost women…why is the mc always fighting with women over a man….why is childcare with fathers and brothers more popular than with mothers and sisters….this is why im honestly more lenient when it comes to sister tropes no matter how typical or boring the plot may be because sisterhood is so important to me like sisters can protect the mc too !!!

Not only in the comments but most of the time in bl mangas too, the racism and misogyny is so hard to ignore lol
