You should immediately distrust whoever calls themselves "holy" or a "saint", especially if they use that claim to dictate someone elses actions. Also I haven't seen a lot of people saying this but if you're going to practice a religion you should probably look into its history and common biases. I've seen too many Christians - people I actually know or have encountered - just turn a blind eye to everything the church has done (either out of fear, guilt or smthg else, I'm not a therapist lmao) and some of them ultimately go on to make similar mistakes.
