Lowkey it's kinda weird how I never watched this, this is like a really popular movie, not really sure why though because it's just okay for me. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t anything particularly impressive or interesting. I felt bad for Carrie though, it sucked having to see her get made fun of like that. I also felt bad for the pigs killed and a certain character who died later on in the movie, I kinda thought that particular character's death was unnecessary ngl (no spoilers though!!) and also the movie was not really scary at all. Anyway I'd rate it like 3/5
, it's watchable but it's not really re-watchable you know what I'm saying? Also did you know there's going to be a TV show based on the book/movie this year? I won't be watching it though, I HATE remakes/reboots.

I don't really like this adaptation, because Carrie is Canonically chubby, she get bullied because of her weight, but in the adaptation they choose a skinny woman to play Carrie.
Oh wow I didn't even know that, that's dumb how they made that change. Like they really couldn't have found a chubby actress anywhere? And it would make more sense why she got bullied in the first place, the movie made it seem kinda random how she was targeted imo.
I have mix up feelings about this decision, because I feel like, sadly people wouldn't take the movie seriously if they choosed a chubby person to play the role. A big example is the movie precious, played by a black plus size woman accurate to the book, one of the saddest movies I've ever seen but certain people are making fun of the movie because the mc doesn't fit the beauty standard. The fact that precious is inspired by the story of the student's author brake my heart

Yeah there's actually 2 more movies, both remakes of this one I think, one released in 2002 and the other in 2013 AND there's going to be a TV show adaptation released sometime in October this year.
