What's a character flaw you wish authors weren't afraid to give to their protagonists?

Selfishness, its so often you see self-sacrificing protagonists but it would be a fun switch if a protag simply cared about themselves and a select few people.   reply

Being insecure and having low self esteem. Hear me out. Many characters who have this are portrayed as coward characters with no backbone whatsoever but I feel like these people are the most cautious with their guard up, a character like this learning to love themself through the experiences of different people around them and reflecting upon thems......   reply
