Bro, I worked in retail for a few years and in the end I just couldn’t take it anymore because people are so rude. They think they’re better than you and you get yelled at for things that aren’t your fault. Almost nobody says “hello,” “please,” “thank you,” or “goodbye” and so much more. The stupid questions were the least of my problems I had to pull myself together every time to keep myself from yelling back or freaking out and that was bad for my mental health.
Oh my god YES!! And sometimes, when you say hello to them they can look at you with such disgust that it makes me clench my fists, thinking “Who are you to look at me like that?”
