Homophobic BL readers

I don’t think people who are religious and believe gay people are a sin should be reading and enjoying queer media. I recently fought with this religious Muslim girl straight up, saying she does not support LGBTQ rights but enjoys BL because it’s simply fictional and to that I say you are a fucking horrible person. I see this mostly common in people who follow Abrahamic faiths and I don’t have a problem with that but if you’re going out here spread bigotry while thinking you can enjoy queer media you’re dead ass wrong and people have every right to judge you and critique you if you’re out here supporting patriarchal systems while just reducing gay people as fictional. BL might be written by women for women, but a huge chunk of it is still representing real people and majority of these authors support LGBTQ rights so if it goes against your religion, don’t read it! Since gay people are gonna go to hell where are you gonna go? Gay people aren’t just your fucking entertainment they are real people!

This is the problem with religious people. They think that they should be respected, even though they’re out here, not supporting basic human rights for certain groups of people. Respect is gained not just given. It’s also funny how when they are called out for their sin for reading pornographic gay media they’ll switch up and say they’re not perfect and that God will forgive or guide them when according to your logic, you’re going to hell! I guess only certain rules of religion apply to you when it benefits you.
