Also I noticed, the more you read the more your taste gets shaped. I re-read a few things that I finished a few years ago and my rating for those works got lower. Like, they suck so bad now BC I know what a good plot needs and also see if a character stays in character and gets a development or if the author just spams the keyboard keys and let's them switch personalities within chapters.
Also, some works sadly are just garbage and they just have to be like that, they just dumb. Ig some like to read stuff without thinking too much about the actions or why, what, how... not for me doe, I like to enrich myself and have a fun time, not suffer through sex without plot or unnecessary rape.
