Summerween Day 16: Suspiria

Hello everybody my name is Sussyplier and here we go again with another review for a movie from the Summerween list of horror movies.

OK so this movie has two versions, the original Italian 1977 movie and a 2018 American remake, I chose to watch the original 1977 movie because my (ex-)pookie is Italian so I am honouring my (former) beloved king's heritage, also the American version was a flop apparently and has bad reviews lol.

Anyway this movie was pretty intriguing, although I did get bored as it neared the end, and the ending itself was a bit abrupt/rushed in my opinion. I really liked the cute colourful set design that contrasted with the spooky atmosphere and the OST was great, but the story was a bit meh tbh. I'd rate it like a 3/5, it wasn't bad but it's not something I'd be interested in watching again. Also it wasn't scary, just a bit creepy. By the way if you're squeamish with bugs there is a scene with maggots involved (nothing all that bad or freaky don't worry, but you do see a lot of them so yeah), just a heads-up if you're interested in watching this too.

Oh also quick PSA, I'll be skipping day 17/watching & reviewing "Pearl" because I watched a review of it when it came out and thought it sounded like a really boring and trashy slasher flick so I'm not interested in watching it since I know I'll definitely dislike it. Next review is scheduled for day 18.
