This is lowkey a rant, but I don't get as to why like somebody once attacked me for only like reading BLs, I'm like yeah?? I'm a queer guy?? It's romance between men? I don't even read only BLs, I read shounens/actions sometimes too, I just avoid a lot of it due to fan services. Anyways, even If i don't read other genres or what, nobody really attack someone for only reading straight series. It's not any other genre is gross, it's just unrelatable or what for people. Just let people read what they want, if it isn't problematic in any sort of way. "Fetishiser" Like what???? I don't get it. How would I be fetishizing my own Sexuality?? By that logic, straight people can't get horny or fangirl/boy on straight romance then.
Hmm, listening to this makes me wonder why BL gets a default bad reputation for "fetishization" but shounen doesn't get one for fan service, people would still enjoy or find things to enjoy about shounen that allows the genre to not be defined by or teared apart for it's uncomfortable fan service.
