Sometimes when I search for a manhwa recommendations on TikTok and they bring out ones they think are peak or like the are literally overhyped, I read them and I don’t feel any connection or anything when reading it.
For example (I might get a lot of backlash) but when I was recommended villains are destined to die they described it as ; she is strong, manipulative and like a complex character and how emotional it is
And I read it and I was trying to understand everything that everybody was saying but I guess we all have different brains and we all have a way we process information so for some people she might be a complex, manipulative character to me she was just an ordinary fl with powers that’s all
Tho before I read it, I read pale horse and when they said she was a complex character I wanted to compare her to rosé but there was nothing to compare
Well I might be the only one having this problem but I’ve actually seen more manhwas like that

90% of manhwa hyped up on tt is overrated, saying this as someone who was read all of the currently popular ones. I read a lovely meal, slammer dogs, reverse thinking, corrosive, no home, yang illwoo and I, no returns after use, solo leveling, who made me a princess, the forgotten fields, backlight, I Stan the Prince, tears on a withered flower, toy daddy, a step mothers marchen, etc. and I only liked a lovely meal and no home maybe it’s because manhwa these days are extremely repetitive so when people find a decent or slightly unique one they hype it up. Manhua and novels is where it’s at I’m ngl
