A not-so happy place

peebles peebles 2020-07-18 05:23:15 About move to japan
My dad and his siblings lives there so we often visit it twice-thrice a year (Summer and Winter). As a tourist, Japan is absolutely one of the best place to visit! Their preservation of their history is amazing. Most of the people there are so disciplined (compare to my home country) but my father always tell me a lot of things and why he doesn’t want me to move there. Not that I’m scaring anyone here but there are so many things to consider when moving there. Expenses and all. Of course, as a foreigner we have to know that Japan has stricter laws, values and beliefs than some countries. Viewing mangago in Japan is prohibited, honestly. My father and aunts adapted to the way of life there and they always tell me how much it changed them. They say that most people there value their jobs and that work is very very important to them and sometimes families comes second. You either work your ass off or there are people will view you as someone who is lazy or a failure. Whenever we visit, my dad will always come home late at night and sometimes ask us to check out my cousin who’s always alone during the day because both of his parents have work even during weekends. We always schedule our flight after Christmas because everyone is working during Christmas time and no one has time to come see us. I guess every country has their own system but I just wish that if you plan to move to Japan just because you were inspired by shoujo mangas (like I was when I was 14) Just think about if first. I know by now that everyone is aware that what people depicts in manga is far from the reality of Japan but if you really, really want to move to Japan then just go for it and experience life for yourself (●'◡'●)ノ

I am well aware too. I dont have amy relatives living there but as I learned about the world and other countries' reality, Japan would be a place to visit for me, not to move to.

Exactly! It’s proper to be aware of the pros and cons. It’s a good place to visit because of it’s culture but moving and actually living there is another thing to really think about (●'◡'●)ノ
