Summerween Day 22: Nope

Hello everybody my name is UFOpiplier and you know the drill by now, we're doing a review of a selected movie from the Summerween list, let's get on with it.

Today we got a movie from the director of "Get Out," a movie I recently watched and reviewed for day 9 of Summerween, the sci-fi-ish movie "Nope."

First of all, I loved the design of the UFO, it was really cool and cute to me (hear me out... ), I also liked how it wasn't particularly shown to be "evil," it was just following it's hunter's instinct. Besides the alien, I thought the atmosphere was excellent, full of suspense and eeriness and I loved the OST too. However, the story itself I found really boring, and the male main character was really monotonous, like I understand he was written to be stoic or more socially awkward I think and he did get traumatised at the start of the movie (no spoilers why though) but like he had the same expression on his face for most of the movie's runtime. Bonus points for the female main character being a girl-kisser. Anyway I'd rate it like a 3/5, it was an okay movie, not something I regret watching but it's also not something I'd be interested in re-watching.
