incest/pseudo-incest question
We all know incest is morally and objectively wrong for a number of reasons right? but I thought up a scenario that contradicts that idea. Im going to make up a hypothetical: say theres 2 guys, the same age, who are gay. Their parents get remarried to eachother and the 2 guys happen to fall into a relationship. That is technically considered pseudo-incest. The reason I use this specific scenario is because 2 guys cannot reproduce, and since they're the same age and havent lived together as 'siblings' for a long time, there is no power dynamic involved.
Is this relationship still objectively wrong to have, even without the usual arguments against incest? If so, can you share your thoughts?
BTW, before anyone jumps me and calls me a freak, its a genuine question which I want a genuine answer for. I'm curious and open to learning if you think I am wrong. I dont have any strong opinions on this but I however dont see anything objectively wrong with this specific scenario.
Obviously bruh, i guess i wouldn't be too surprised if feelings happen to grow in this very specific hypothetical scenario but they are still SIBLINGS and don't have to be together, the normal thing to do is move on onto other people reply
Legally you can get married if you're both adults even if your parents are married since you're not blood related together.
I think this topic is very cherry picked, but it's a hypothetical afterall.
I think what makes incest wrong is not only how it could affect the two people in the relationship but also outside of them. The many things that ...... 2 reply

"BUT..."
Anyhow, I agree with almost all replies here so yeah take them into account. reply
This seems like that one BL story lol where their parents get remarried to each other but those two were already in a relationship before the parents, so that wasn't really wrong but also. Tbh if they had that relationship AFTER they were introduced, technically yeah could be weird even if adults. Since y'all are introduced to be siblings so fallin...... reply
i feel like the context matters a lot. you didn't specify when they became stepbrothers. If their parents got married when they were already adults and they barely knew each other beforehand, they became stepbrothers AS adults, never lived together, don't see each other as siblings, and basically met through their parents, then yeah, most of the us...... reply
Someone's trying to justify their favourite controversial bl I can smell it. Slash half joking
I'd argue there is a power dynamic involved because their parents are still in a relationship. Whether or not they're biologically related or grew up together doesn't matter, they are still legally considered family and if they get into a relationship to...... reply
Idk man, sibling is sibling and lover is lover
Maybe because I have a sibling i find it more concrete
You don't wanna mix that up
One wouldn't date their stepmother if their father died, would they? Other than the biological aspect, it just feels plain wrong.
For me I grew up in a community where even dating your friend who you used to call "br...... reply
For me kinda weird how y'all are lovers while both of your widow/widowed parents are also lovers, If I were in their shoes I wouldn't be able to face my parent/step parent because of guilt and shame
Help I just read a bl about this the title is "A relationship that should never be" 1 reply
