recently i failed an exam i was so confident about and that exam would consider how i'll spend the next 2 years of my life. after finding out the news i was so devastated my body and mind were not the same; i legit have these strong deep pangs in my chest whenever i receive an email, and with insults from my relatives about my situation, it did not help. 3 months from then, here i am now and nothing has changed but how i viewed the whole thing in my mind. yes i definitely had this sort of desperation for closure if i could re-appeal or not; there was even a time i taught myself how to read tarot with uno cards to know what will happen to me, but honestly getting over that sort of heartbreak and gash to the ego could only be healed by time. i learned to be content with what i have and to not expect so much anymore, and most importantly to be unmoved by worse news. also, i coped with cooking shitty recipes and reading yaoi. i used to be a depressed pervert, but now i am a slightly happy pervert, and to me it is fine that i can lose whatever just not myself again, for you is all you need.
Don't let other people's assumptions dictates your reality. I can quiet relate to you. I know how much effort you've given to pass that exam but sometimes life really does not go according to plan. I know it's a hard pill to swallow. There are things that's way out of our control even we did our best. From my experience after I failed an exam, I really felt a burnout and a bit of depression but taking a one month rest was a coping mechanism of mine. What I did for a month is reflecting on myself and accepting that I am not perfect. I slowly accepted the failure as a setback and to be better on the next and now I'm currently reviewing hoping to pass my license this year.
But my advice to you is until death -all defeat is psychological. You can start again, time will pass anyways. Allow yourself to feel the shame but it is not embarassing to try and fail. Also, lower your expectations. Don't rely too much on tarot because you're the only one who knows who you truly are and you're the one one writing your story. You're a human, don't be too hard on yourself. Accept it, move on, and don't dwell too much on what's in the past.
Thanks. I know you’re speaking from the deepest depths of your heart and wisdom, because this is how I feel too. Also, on the brighter side, I’d trust a professional who went through the licensure exam multiple times because technically they have more experience and knowledge. I know how hard it is to review, to be stuck with papers and sticky notes all over your room walls and ceilings, but a week or so of suffering is better than years of it. I came to realize that too late, but too late is better than never so that we won’t have to retake the an admission or licensure exam anymore. We’ll get our dream jobs and schools too, bro. ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
Not gonna lie, this was beautiful to read in its raw honesty. There is something so real and vulnerable about it that it genuinely hit close to home. I truly hope life brings you peace, happiness and everything you're searching for. Wishing you nothing but the very best for the future dear stranger
This made me shed a tear. To be honest with you, the results of my appeal come out this week, and at this point I think I am ready for anything. Hopefully. Thank you for this dear stranger, I wish the same for you (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
