What’s something you used to love but as you matured started losing interest/disliking it? For me, it’s boys over flowers (the manga & drama) and tsundere mc trope. I used to LOVE bof. But as I matured, I realized how toxic domyoji and makino really were after rewatching it 2-3 times and as for the tsundere trope, I just don’t find the appeal in lying about your feelings so the relationship feels one-sided.
Manhwa in general if im being honest. Yaoi doesnt make me excited to read like it once did when i was younger: the connections between the characters are shallow and dive into smut before any real connection is made, its hard to find good historical nobility stories when the genre is built on repetitiveness and overused cliches, and any action stor...... reply
Yuri/Gl.
It makes me sad because this used to be my favourite genre. But now, I am in the constant fear that I will run into an incest or loli plot if I pick a yuri manga/manhwa because these themes are THAT common. reply
Romance stories. I used to enjoy reading or watching stories of people falling in love, but now it all feels too cringy and unrealistic to me. In real life, it would never happen the way it does in stories. reply
Definitely yaoi I used to be obsessed with like killua x gon or nagisa x karma and just any type of BL but I kinda just got over it? I still try to read it from time to time but it just never hits the same and I can't get invested reply
