Online friendship with long distance

So how do y'all maintain long distance friendship with huge time differences I mean I know people will say online friendship doesn't work or whatever but it can be different right and I wanna make our friendship work I don't want to leave them bec of silly reasons so I'll do whatever I can but can someone gimme some ideas on how I should do ╥﹏╥
