If you just can't stand even seeing the word wetsand, don't click.

I genuinely feel so bad for Doyak because she has one of the worst fandom on Twitter. The story is already over, yet people who constantly say Wetsand is trash, slop, and something they don't want to read or interact with STILL keep bringing it up to compare it to other series.

And now there's this whole situation with Borderline. Someone in that part of the fandom with a somewhat large following compared Borderline to Wetsand, saying things like "I'm sorry Doyak" and "it gives me Wetsand vibes." And somehow, that was enough for people to start using the comparison as another excuse to demonize Doyak and discredit her as a writer.

People can dislike Wetsand. You can think Borderline is better written than Wetsand, you can dislike the love triangle, you can prefer one ML over another, whatever. Even tho in my opinion wetsand is well written if not more well written then Boarderline but falls short in its ending. I don't even know if I would ever considered Borderline as anything but your average Bl but beauty is in the eyes of its beholder ig.

Back to the topic, I find it so infuriating that a story that has no element of a love triangle or anything similar to wetsand are being constantly compared to each other and it's generates nothing but hate onto both of the story and the author. Especially Doyak. She posts something and after every post I would see the same part of the fandom who apparently hates her have a screenshot of what she posts, drawing their own conclusion and degrade her. This sudden comparison that they made just lead to more hate on the author too. People from other fandoms discrediting her work. They genuinely speak of her like she's mahito or something. It's just so disheartening to see how they talk about her and discredit her as an artist and a writer over her own fictional characters. And as well as seeing a story with characters that I love, characters that i find compelling and realistically displayed complex emotion, characters that are not perfect but flawed in a way I can understand from a psychology stand point and the nuance and complex relationship that they have, seeing them being hated does make me feel upset but it just feels like it's too much to be acting like this toward a irl person.


(BTW if you do read this I hope you don't immediately go to comment section to be like "oh wetsand fandoms blah blah" because being someone who also paid to read borderline on the official website..some people for some reason is complaining about the story and some blocked the author over it which is kinda embrassing cus they're an author and who are you exactly?I'm only talking about a certain x user who happens to be a wetsand readers because they have a somewhat large following so obviously ppl are gonna see their post. They dislike Borderline which is whatever but that stupid comparison is just generating hate and leading to people discrediting Doyak as an artist and writers)
