i'm still struggling to cope with losing hundreds of the reviews i wrote for each manga i had read. i had around 1800 manga in my 'already read' when the data was lost and i wrote reviews for over 95% of them. it genuinely sucks so much coming across manga i read before and seeing a blank section where my lengthy review used to be. reading all these comics has been such a big part of my life for the past few years so for all of those memories to just be wiped away really hurts, as much as it's embarrassing to admit.
i didn't even have a single screenshot of any of my thoughts. i also somehow managed to lose the photo album for my throwaway comments too so i genuinely don't have anything from before 2026. i still mourn the review i wrote for 'she is also cute today' in particular bc that manhua was so impactful to me, and i had actually saved the long ass review i wrote for it on my notes too, BUT THEN I DELETED IT LIKE A DUMBASS, not realising that years later i would permanently lose it.
this is your reminder that you should always have at least 2 copies of everything digital... now i always write my comments elsewhere too in case we ever lose them again
