HXH spoiler for the neryork arc /rant

OMG, I just needed to say HOLY SHIT, I loved this arc so much. I thought I would see bloodshed or a massacre of the Spiders, but NO!?!? Like, the way they handled this arc, and how instead of Kurapika being alone in all of this darkness, Gon, Leorio, and Killua were there to help him out. They reminded him that he doesn't need to stay in that dark pool and that he can reach out.

I cried a little when Gon said to Killua, "The Troupe are dead now. You can search for your brethren's eyes and return them to them." That alone was enough to remind Kurapika that even though the Troupe were supposedly dead, he didn't have to remain in that indescribable darkness. Though we later learn that they weren't actually dead, his resolve was back.

But the thing is, Kurapika was reckless. As much as I wanted to see him go haywire and kill the people who tortured his clan, he was lacking in experience and was just too reckless. Like, he has the power to kill the whole Troupe, but if he doesn't stop and think for a moment, he could get himself killed before they all die.

Thankfully, that doesn't happen. Instead, he takes the cruel pacifist route and just takes away Chrollo's Nen. AND WHAT GAVE ME THE SHIVERS WAS WHEN HE LEFT CHROLLO ON THAT MOUNTAINTOP AND SAID, "Now you will get to experience the pain of losing your home."

LIKE, DAMN. I know Gon and Killua were hostages in that situation, and Kurapika definitely could have just said, "Fuck it," and killed Chrollo. But instead, he showed him cruel mercy.

I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW CHROLLO GOT OFF EASY??? LIKE, REMINDERS OF WHAT THEY DID. THEY TORTURED THE KURTA CLAN, ALL 120 PLUS PEOPLE LIVING IN THE MOUNTAINS JUST MINDING THEIR OWN BUSINESS, AND THEY WERE MASSACRED JUST BECAUSE OF THEIR RARE EYES. AND THE ONLY WAY TO EVEN GET THE RED EYES WAS TO INVOKE DEEP EMOTIONS TO MAKE THEM TURN SCARLET.

Like, what they did was horrifying, horrible, and disgusting. I can't imagine being Kurapika, going back to your village and finding everyone dead, their eyes missing. I would be fucking enraged, and I definitely would not have shown mercy to the leader of the group responsible for the massacre.

But no, he literally got off EASY???

ANYHOW, REALLY GREAT ARC IN MY OPINION. I LOVE KURAPIKA'S RESOLVE AND HOW THEY HANDLED HIS ANGER.

Side note: hisoka doing all that double Crossing and he couldn't even fight chrollo in the end HAHAHA
