My brother stole my friends

Currently in mourning for the friend ship of an entire friend group and it’s my brother who took my place.

I’ve had this group of friends for years now, some from since childhood, but all of them were friends with me before even knowing my brother. But now it’s all my brother. It started slowly, my brother was slowly got into my friend group, my good friend became his best friend, my boy best friend became his best friend and so on. I stopped messaging first and it became silent. For a while i thought I was just imagining it since they always greet me with such joy, yet not a message. Then I stopped getting updates and invites to things, I only knew what was happening when my brother mentioned it in passing. For example, every year i celebrate there birthdays with them but for mine something always comes up, this year I was planning something once again but then I was informed by a friend of a get together another friend was planning in my birth month, that would be cool and all till I found out weeks later (after everyone else was invited) that it took place on my birthday weekend when I was planning something. You know that was bad enough to make me feel forgotten but then I read the actual invitation. IT WAS A BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR THE FRIEND 3 MONTHS BEFORE HER ACTUAL BIRTHDAY. WTF?!? so my birthday came and went and I didn’t go to the weekend long event she had but i foolishly assumed she didn’t even think it was a big deal so I let it go. But today is my brothers birthday and I heard that is gf was surprising him with an outing. (She even asked me in my dm’s what to do for it.) Color me surprised when I heard THE WHOLE FRIEND GROUP PREPARED A SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR HIM AND I WAS’NT EVEN INVITED! All my friends celebrated my brother for his birthday buying him gifts and shit but most of them forgot my birthday.

Now I no longer consider them friends but I still love them as strangers.
