can someone relate to this or tell me if im not normal?
i think theres something wrong with me when it comes to music. i like listening to it but i play my favorites over and over again until im sick of it. I also dont really like, listen to it constantly because it feels performative . i was sheltered for most of teen years w/o my phone so i couldnt listen to music and i just dont know how to expand my music taste anymore. i try listening to albums and playlists but they feel like chores i have to complete, especially if the songs dont sound that good. does anyone else deal w this? listening to favorites over and over again is pretty common; there's some sense of comfort with listening to something familiar, esp when i'm stressed out.
as for new music, a lot of ppl stick to mainstream songs that showup in playlists, short-form videos, radio or whatever.
personally, i just pick a genre i like and listen to some random play...... reply
