When do you know that a certain Author makes yaoi for the lgbtQ+ ,and not to straight females in general? I am not trying to be rudeee here ok? No shade. Its bc i see a lot of girls talking nonsense all the time in the comments section about a lot of cr*p (not gonna say what okurrr?) And sometimes i really feel like BL mangas are just to satisfy females "fetishes"?
they make bl to sell. it doesn't matter if it's for men or women, if it sell, then it's ok. but yes, most bl are made by female authors. but that's because asia is still a shit place for the lgbtq community to be socially accepted. there are even male authors that make bl that hide their identity. but, like i say, it doesn't matter the targeted aud...... reply
In all honesty, majority of BL stories are like what you said at the end of your question - unfortunately. It's rare to find BL mangas that are catered to LGBTQ+ Anyway, there is one manga that I thought kind of catered to LGBTQ+ (though, I can't really say since people have different opinions when it comes to stories) and here's the link to it, i...... reply
Yes, I would agree that the same goes for yuri that largely exists for male pleasure. I have a hard time finding realistic portrayals of relationships between women. However, I do tend to read BL that somewhat? captures the struggles of same-sex relationships as well. reply
Idk if u want realistic scenarios then shonen ai lol, yaoi is usually for the sake of smut :p idk I cant remember very specific ones but really shonen ai in general has pretty realistic plot most of the time. reply
