I wasn't necessarily shocked. I'd watched porn before, including gay porn. But I remember being turned off by the way the guys were drawn. I had read something where the guys were drawn very manly and muscular. Kind of like bara but not all the way there. Anyways, at the time I didn't like that art style so I didn't finish reading it. But now I'm t......   reply

It's not surprising as being chubby or overweight is less common in Japan than in western countries. Also, even in the west, the most desirable bodies are slimmer. It's only recently that countries like America have started to appreciate different body types and feature them more in media.   reply

I'll be 30 next month and still read manga. I don't watch anime as much as I used to, but I still watch it occasionally.   reply

What I find the most annoying is when a straight character falls in love with another guy but continues to identify as straight. They'll say something along the lines of "I'm straight, I just happened to fall in love with this particular person who's a guy". It happens in one of my favorite manga, Haru wo Daite Ita. After the two guys become a coup......   1 reply

1) why are they carrying me? I don't like to be carried so I'd be mad about that before we even got to any restaurant 2) it depends on why they are bringing me to McDonald's. If they can only afford fast food, I'd rather they saved money and cooked from home or maybe skip the food and write me a nice letter or make me something. But if they were t......   reply

I have a couple of short novels in English. I only read them once, and kind of regret buying them because they weren't that good. I also have 2 manga volumes in Japanese. Since I was studying Japanese I bought them thinking eventually I'd get to a good enough level to read them on my own. Still haven't reached that level of Japanese though. Overall......   reply

Well I'm 27 and I've never been in a serious relationship or in love. Literally my longest relationship lasted 1 month and that was over 10 years ago. So I don't think your abnormal. But I do think you need to stop comparing yourself to everyone else. You just need to do what feels right to you. I think it's better to be alone than to be in a shitt......   reply

I've had a few teachers who I was attracted to, but never a serious crush. I think when you're still in school it's fun to fantasize about dating a teacher. But once you get older, you realize how creepy it would be for a teacher to actually date their student. There's the age difference and the fact that teachers are in a position of power. If the......   1 reply

This isn't the weirdest dream I've ever had, but it was the weirdest dream I had this month. So I'm a big fan of a certain K-pop group. In this dream, I was hanging out in a bar with the guys after they finished a concert. At some point, I turn around and I see one of the members giving a lap dance to some random guy. (⊙…⊙ ) No clue why I dre......   reply

I'm bi but I prefer yaoi. Yuri just seems to unrealistic to me. I know yaoi is unrealistic as well, but since I'm not a guy it doesn't bother me as much.   1 reply

about have sex
I started when I was 11 years old. When I was young, I felt really odd and even guilty about it. You hear so much about boys doing it, but no one ever talks about girls. But it's perfectly natural and normal for girls to do it!   1 reply

Everyone started super young it seems. I didn't start reading manga until I was around 20 or 21. I started reading yaoi about a year after that. I wasn't interested in yaoi at first just because I thought that gay manga would only appeal to gay men, little did I know this genre was made by and aimed at women.   reply

For me it's not really a fair comparison. There's so much more manga available than manhwa. I've read over 1000 manga but only a couple dozen manhwa. The manhwa I've read have been good, but because I've read much more good manga I have to choose manga. There is one thing that annoys me about manhwa, though. In 99% of the manhwa I've read a gang ap......   reply
