This a major spoiler so I'm leaving it as a photo only. Do not expand if you do not want spoilers for WHA! This is the most recent side character death that made me cry actual tears:

Slice-of-life style fantasies about exploring strange worlds are fun, but the ones that really resonate with me are the ones that get into the culture and politics of the world. One of my favorite OG fantasy isekais is The Twelve Kingdoms. It's a 45 episode anime based on a novel. My favorite thing about 12 kingdoms is that the world exists beyond ......

Land of the Lustrous. I'm pretty sure I'll like it. But I know the ending and everytime I pick it up I just think about how unfair it all feels.

MADK
Canis: The Speaker
King's Maker (season 1)
These three are stories that consumed my mind for weeks after I read them. They're a little darker, a little grittier. There's a nice balance between character and plot development. They stood the test of time and rereads never feel stale.

I love dogs! Growing up we always had chihuahua mutts, but I always wanted the fancy schmancy breeds from the books I'd read. Some of my favorites throughout the years: cocker spaniels, pembroke welsh corgis, beagles, border collies, shiba inus, pomeranians, dobermans.

Great timing! I was thinking of rewatching Fushigi Yuugi and 12 Kingdoms since the question about reverse harem anime a short while ago. I was probably like 8 years old when I watched it. Nuriko was my favorite.
