To me BL/GL doesn't hurt and doesn't help either, because I consider something fictional entirely not compared to real life. So it doesn't do me anything outside of making me pass my free time with a good or bad story.   1 reply

In certain cases it could be a preference (for example: I prefer tan skin instead of pale skin, brown or black eyes instead of green or blue ones, but this is regardless of race, etc), but in other cases they might just find attractive someone because they're from that specific race liking the physical characteristics of the race. For real. I love GL. I recently read a beautiful GL story. I can't stand the majority of BL fans because they be like 24/07 "women can't read BL", "BL is only stereotypes", etc and at this point is just making me roll up my eyes and that's it.
