for some reason, our generation is so immature that we are desensitizing ourselves from the reality. we are making fun of everything : whether it’s a genocide ; misogyny ; abuse ; or even finding it hilarious that trump is in the epstein files.

i don’t think it’s that easy though. if you take Brokeback Mountain as an example, ennis has internalized homophobia, which makes it impossible for him to settle down with jack and have a real proper relationship.
