Lowkey I get what you mean. When the show came out I decided to read the book instead. I still haven’t watched the show, but, the book felt really anticlimactic. Ngl, I felt like it read like a slightly better Wattpad story. It wasn’t bad by no means! I think my favorite chapters would have to be Ilya calling Shane in Russian, the FaceTime call......
