I hate them, I hate them soo much for multiple reasons, and I'm only speaking for bl in this case because I don't read gl; 1) They propagate harmful stereotypes about the lgbt+ community. I totally agree with you. I have absolutely no problem if rape, abuse, kidnapping, whatever form of abuse you want is in a story. No problem with it whatsoever. I do have a problem however with how authors often portray a characters response to these actions, and then what some readers reply with in order to defend these authors.
