tbh you can't, you can heal from a toxic environment while still being in it. 100% valid. It used to make uncomfortable bc trauma too, although I've worked through it tbh my main reason as of now hit me when my gf at the time gave me her hoodie and it didn't smell *like her*, it just smelled like smoke (ㆆ_ㆆ) I cant live knowing that you just smell like that and that smell is sticking to me when we're close   reply
