Man, reading all these manhwa stories make me feel like that drama is all fiction and far away... but nope. It's all still very real and still happens around us, or to those close to us.

I have someone I know who just found out they were being cheated on by their bf today. The cheating was going on for months now, but they just found out a few hours ago.

They started out like those who meet by fate, they met after a series of situations where they almost wouldn't have met had it not been for a few last minute circumstances, which led them both to meet at a party. Instantly they clicked, they sparked, they had so much in common, they were perfectly matched. They stuck together the whole party and talked and laughed. The next week or two, they were dating. They were a great couple and pair, wasn't toxic at all. It seemed like they cherished each other, and they could argue, but they didn't complain about anything too bad.

If there were complains, I would know, even just a little, because me and the girl share all terrible things in our lives without holding back. If we have problems with relationships, we openly tell it to each other.

That's the thing. The relationship seemed so peaceful both to us outsiders, and to those two themselves in the relationship. They were happy and at peace.

So why would the boyfriend ruin it by cheating? But then again, I guess a lot of cheating cases don't really have a reason. Some people just do it because they want to.

He wasn't a bad person, or at least before this he didn't seem like one. He wasn't arrogant or prideful. He spoke with manners, he was even tempered. He didn't seem sneaky or secretive. He was chill. And again, those two didn't have any deep rooted problems or fights before this.

I know 'some relationships aren't what they seem on the surface' but why didn't it show some clues. Where were the red flags, why couldn't any of us friends see it on her boyfriend?

That's the scary part. The possibility of being cheated on even though everything is going good. That nothing even seemed out of place.

Now it enforces a certain fear among us, that even though we might be in a loving, kind, and happy relationship, we could all still easily be victims of betrayal.

That you could be in a very happy relationship right now, but don't know that your partner is cheating even though they never seemed like they would or would have a reason to.

So, a peaceful and nice relationship isn't even safe from these incidents.

I'll never understand cheating. Especially if you're in a stable relationship.

If the boyfriend wasn't happy or didn't like her anymore why didn't he just break up with her. Why cheat? Why??? He wasn't being help captive in the relationship, just leave if you want to be with someone else, but never cheat.

Did he want to have both, thinking he could just spend the day with one, and then send flowers to the other when he wasn't there with them?

Is it a power trip? I saw online it was a form of narcissism. Do they feel all high and mighty and strong after doing all that? Disgusting.

It's so upsetting for her, especially since Valentine's Day is just around the corner.

**This might sound like a dumb way to comfort someone, but I think I'll try recommending her with some drama manhwas. The ones that start with the MC finding out her seemingly kind boyfriend was trash and was cheating on her. So MC kicks the cheating trash ex to the curb, and then she meets a rich, handsome, chaebol CEO who was actually in love with her and sweeps her off her feet, and the ex boyfriend grovels and regrets losing MC. I think she'd feel a little better with reading a story like that. Hopefully.
