why are people suddenly acting so vehemently homophobic? not like I was in that fandom to begin with but my social media algo is pushing all these posts by people who are rejoicing Deku being "normal" and "straight." sure shippers can be nasty and toxic. but that hardly gives people the right to be homophobic.

people really think it's ok to degrade asian BL series as a whole after watching ONE western BL. like what is going on bitch. reminds me of the heartstopper author labeling anything with explicit queer sex scenes as fetishistic. crazy thing to say when heartstopper was inspired by Given but she refuses to acknowledge Given as BL.
