it's really good that you have fun with writing. tbh just do what makes u comfortable. even if u just have a basic outline (they are a pain in the ass to make but they really do help) and bullet points then thats good enough. you should only know basic wants of the character to make them realistic. if they are flat, try basing some characteristics ......

i can relate,,, esp w fanfics i read them everyday and as much as i can and when i don't have access to it, i feel uncomfortable,,, imma go on a yaoi detox when school starts ig lol,,, dj and manga however r things i can take a break from easily but i understand how obsessed people can be since ive been there.
