I am an INTJ. Mastermind? nah! I'm too lazy. I prefer to chat with friends over a cup of tea, wriing stories and reading manga. I really am introverted and I like only a handful of people in the whole world. And I know I'm not gonna like 9/10 of the new people I meet. I'm gonna like 9/100 and I'm gonna love 1/100. I'm picky, but that's ok. The one ......   3 reply

I learned how to cook better and made a lot of food. I tried new recipes. Some were failures, but most were great. I also did a lot of introspection and now I'm starting to improve myself as a person. I think the break of the quarantine helped me to sort out feelings I had never talked about. Despite that, my allergies symptoms and skin disease ha......   reply

Most of its audience is young males, generally not interested in romance. It's popular in Japan, but also in other countries. I don't know your gender/age, but for many 10-15 years old boy, this manga/anime is good by itself and not for the ships. I think you only get the impression it's popular because of the ships because you might stay within ce......   reply

Ask for help when you get depressed because it's not just a sad phase. Also, confess to that guy the moment he hugs you in that room, because that would've been the moment to do it before it was too late. Don't be homophobic when you're gay yourself. Come out to your parents instead of feeling disgusted at yourself for years. Ditch that dude, a......   reply

You could go to see a doctor and tell them about your problem. Insomnia can have medical or psychological sources. A doctor could prescribe you with melatonin pills. It usually doesn't have side effects, but I'm not a professional. If you're often anxious, it might disrupt your sleep as well. Anyways, if you've tried several methods and nothing ......   reply

Kinda creepy if you ask me, but got a good laugh out of it. My mom is a bit like that. She'd be like: "Invite him for dinner. I want to meet him!"   reply

I started manga at 12, shounen ai and Yaoi at 15 and now I'm 20. I remember being really incomfortable around yaoi when I was 13. But then! I found out I was gay so I tried some.   reply

If you feel uncomfortable sharing your emotions in a situation in which you would like to, there is probably a problem. Either you have a hard time being intimate with the ones you love or there is nobody that would listen to you. Either way, reach out. Asking for help is never pathetic when it's sincere. It's not like you have to talk about your e......   reply

I'm a 19 years old caucasian fudanshi from Canada. I've like yaoi for 3-4 years now. When I understood I was gay, I checked it out of curiosity, but I got into it a lot. I'm currently studying in social studies and will probably continue in the field of psychology.   1 reply

Scars and most irregularities of pigmentation in eyes, skin or hair. I really like dark birthmarks. And Vitiligo on dark-skinned ppl is a treat to look at. I know it's a disease and it's not good to lose pigmentation, but I still think it looks nice. My mom legit just mocked my taste for this kind of trait a few weeks ago... And she wonders why I ......   reply

Remember, bad people are often the loudest. Prepare to have someone disagree with you on every single opinion you share about something. "Naruto is my favourite manga", you say? Some random person will tell you it's shit and so on. That's the Internet for you.   reply

I've read the other answers a bit and it seems uncommon to have many friends into yaoi like I do. I have at least 6 friends that are really into it and a few others that like it sometimes. I'm lucky and I appreciate them (not only for that ofc)   1 reply

To me, it seems weird that black ppl even use it. I'm gay and I never say "fag". I have ASD and I never say "retard" or the like. So I understand anyone who wouldn't want to say the n-word word. It refers to something bad. It is "just a word", but at the same time, it's connotation is very bad.   1 reply

I'm a gay cisgender that loves yaoi and shounenai. Even if yaoi is unrealistic, it helped me to accept my orientation.   1 reply

First, I agree! Second, I'm mostly shocked that some ppl here seem not to understand the point you're trying to make. To me, it's been obvious. Let's give those ppl the benefit of the doubt and pretend they're 9 years old (If you're 9 and you understand, I didn't mean to offend you, you're smart for your age).   reply

What a debate in the comments! To make it short, don't be offended if you are ready to listen seriously to gay people voicing their concerns about homophobia contained in media and society. Yaoi is fine. The problem is when uneducated ppl that don't give a shit about real gay ppl read yaoi and think that's how it works (or should work) for said ga......   reply
