Harshi's question (1)

I read it a long time ago on bato, the plot is kinda like a policeman/detective finds a boy who sells drug and follows him and finds out he is in a culture worshipping a god, but in reality the clut was owned by an evil person and he's just using the cult to generate money and drugs. The man has tattooed the god on his body. But after the boy finds out the truth, he's out of the culture and starts worshipping the policeman himself.
I know I worded it really bad but if possible pls help.
The author is a bl author and while not explicitly shown, it's maybe a bl story.
