While I do hate incest, the only acceptable thing I can handle are when they like each other and no one-sided(codependency, taboo, guilt, etc.) Or when it's well-written AND both are adults. Its fine to add those dark aspects in the story for the plot itself, i mean, I love some trauma angst, but i do agree that the dark aspect of it is becoming 'excusing', if that's the right term to describe the trauma has been going on.
