It’s a lot of determination and zero social life unless you have a good study partner to work with, then a lot of determination and someone to chat with on brain breaks. Assigning value to something like academic excellence is not something you can say isn’t really important because value is usually intrinsically determined and very personal.   reply

I think part of it is simply the fantasy to be something totally different. Most of the authors we read have dark hair, dark eyes; if it’s an isekai their characters start with dark hair and eyes.
