I actually learned that in school. My History teacher was da best and we gad to write an essay based on a topic of that era, most chose to write about Shakespeare and theatrical arts, y’know all that jazz. I chose to do the plague.

I’m nonbinary and pan, but I know a lesbian who reads BL I think they just like it for the comedy.
I don’t think you have to be attracted to the characters or find sex scenes hot to like a story.
Also there’s definitely asexuals out there who enjoy reading romance of any kind too. Maybe even some Aromantics.
