While I can sort of understand things from their point of view, as there are quite a few toxic fujoshi out there, people who are so offended by someone's personal preferences that they can't stand to see it are incredibly close-minded.
Personally I don't see a difference from Yaoi/Bl media from "straight" media, it's stuff portraying relationships ......

Periods are pretty shitty, and an inconvenience. Pads are annoying, and tampons are fucking scary (in my opinion) but they're necessities (or so I tell myself). Nope, no one else in my life knows either, though I do like to play dangerously w/ my friends by dropping subtle hints, like showing them a character I like in a yaoi or telling them fluffy parts of stories I like, lol.
