These feelings, resulting from a bond formed between captor and captives during intimate time spent together, are generally considered irrational in light of the danger or risk endured by the victims.

☩ The storyline is very predictable, if you know what you're looking for. A Machiavellian seme, Harada-esque yandere tendencies. Even though you might see the ending coming, for what it's worth, the sexual suspense and the threat/delirium of a Stockholm-syndrome-type relationship was believable and gave the piece a stale, creepy quality to it.

☩ This is Harada at her most terrifying, and it's a moment where the in-universe rules work so that it's a "happy ending" but it's really a lose-lose for everyone involved. Gintoki keeps Hijikata in a cell as his sex slave for 3 months. Harada is a fucking master of making gross out psychological sex torture entertaining somehow.
