*spoiler alert (I gues...)* As I finished reading this, I can't help myself think everything could have been different... Happier... Better... But then again, it's a love triangle, the author drove herself into a corner by making the characteres the way they are and building the plot like this. In a love triangle nobody is 100% happy, specially if the three of them end up caring about each other that deeply. And it pains me to realise that even if the three of them could have been together again, it would have been painful anyway...
