This is not a happy story. The story tells two people who have always had problems and when they come together there is a chaos. Hikaru is a person who was abused from a young age, which made him stay away from people. All his experiences with people are bad from his mother, the friend, even Haruki. Haruki also had insecurities from the beginning.It seems that people who comment do not remember that they are not actually related by blood. Yes Hikaru. He acted badly by wanting to tie the only person he adored with the worst methods through blackmail and sex.
What I want to say is that I hope that the two of them, without anybody else's help, will realize the feelings they have towards each other. Haruki he is beginning to realize his feelings towards Hikaru. He has what we call Stockholm Syndrome and he is terrified about those feelings. They have to heal their wounds and realize the damage they are doing together. But only them.

When hikaru rape haruki he was 14 years old, and haruki 24 years old. You are judging him as if he were an adult. Do not compare the maturity of an adult man to those of an adolescent. The actions he is doing are not the best. Read ch.3 You see how hikaru let hikaru touch it in a sexual way and then he regret. Then they have consensual oral sex, next they have sex. When haruki want to end the twist relationship they had. The Blackmail comes, and Hikaru rape haruki. When hikaru realizes what he did, he he stops seeing haruki. Then we have vol. 2 and is all fuck up.
But are you really telling me that you do not think he had any blame on this?And all the fault is the teenager of 15 and not the adult of 25 years? I'm not saying that hikari is innocent, of course not. But haruki was also wrong.

Damm I am the only sick person who likes the history and their relationship?. I do not know if harada and Ogawa made me change my perspective of seeing things. That now im a twist person but I really hope they can find happiness. For me if sempai returns it will be disappointing. This manga is well developed, perfect and twisted.

Kinda respectfully disagree (meaning I'll won't downvote an opinion different from mine). Both Harada and Ogawa have similar plotlines of rape/abuse but it's either a situation in which both parts get something they wanted out of the fucked up relationship OR it just goes full-on fucking fuckity fucked. Emotions are dark and negative, unapologetically. HERE, there's a tint of "romance" that doesn't quite sit well with most people. It started all real-lifey and the mood was set to be a story more grounded in real feelings people have, so expectations were formed accordingly. Now it seems to be heading in the same direction as any other generic 90's mediocre yaoi, only full of angst and a dragged-for-too-long better writting . Soo.. I just now got distracted and lost my train of thought .... lol sorry
You said it better than I could. it is like reading 2 different stories in this one. It started out like it wants to be Harada, then it copped out and went "commercial".
It feels to me like it started like one of those indie dark films then it got picked up by a big name production company and suddenly "umm maybe if we put in romance?"
Harada has always been apologetic and none of the characters are blatantly drawn to "have to apologize" they are all dark and escapist and we know where they all stand. Here, it goes nowhere.
oh i agree each and every part that you have said ah i forgot to login well any way it started with realistic potrayl of rape and its circustances but now it feels like its going in the direction of bortherly love and like the story has struck at hikaru raping haruki .it has been like 5 to 6 chapter and it seems like there will be no change .
Really? Am I as numb as Haruki? OMG. Sorry, but it's just that I didn't feel the romance at all. It's because what I understood as we go further into the story is that Hikaru is becoming more and more obsessed over Haruki that it's an obvious disorder already. Meanwhile, Haruki is the passive, paralyzed type of rape victim that is not strong-willed enough to save himself, even if he tries it's not enough. Because let's admit it, there's an ideal way of handling his situation but of course, our characters are portrayed as real as they could get thus instead of getting an empowered victim, we get a weak depressed one; which has a positive (increasing) effect on Hikaru's obsession. I never saw "romance" rather the author dwells more on "depression" and "obsession", well that's at least how the author is coming to me.
Actually it seems like story has stoped at one point and we are watching the samw thing since last few chapter every one is aware of tje situtation but are turning out the blind eye to everything and its looking like tha himaru had no option but only his.brother now which i hope its not but it seems like that .its more about there isnt any real growth sine last few chapter that what people are sad about .i wont stay i felt romance right now bit the way story is going i am afraid that there is a chance that it could happen .but before we had a hope that something will change but its not which is kinf of annoying
'Every one is aware' WE ARE AWARE not the minor characters, sorry but they are not psychics. They are DENSE but they would not be able to figure anything with the mere information they have. To know what's happening, they have to investigate more, which they are not doing. Senpai is on his way, though.
Sensei is plucking all hope away from Haruki because that's messed up, so when rescue comes, it would be unexpected for Haruki and to the readers, who seems to want to gratify themselves immediately.
Yup! Maybe we've been too invested thst we forgot the supporting characters don't know even a third of what we know. But we transfer our frustration on them. It happens in rL too. I understand the readers confused anger.
Ch1. We see hikaru and haruki both adults wiith a distanced relationship.

Hikaru and haruki became a family. Hikaru was 13 years old and haruki 23. They have an excellent relationship Hikaru relies a lot on haruhi and and he feels guilty because for haruki he had to leave home. We began to see the problems that hikari has to relate to people and how he feels repugnant to the harassment of his teacher.
Ch2. Haruki realizes that something is not right with hikaru. Hikaru made his first friend then friend's girlfriend had to shit everything. Hikaru went to haruki place. He kiss him and hug him.
Ch3. Hikaru begins to touch haruki and haruki freaks out (so hikaru is like 14 year old? and haruki 24)
Ch.4 The parents leave and hikari starts ignoring haruki. Haruki worries and talks to hikari. "I want to see you nude" and haruki agree. Haruki let hikaru touch it in a sexual way and then he regret
- Then they have consensual oral sex. Haruki regrets and thinks this should not happen again but they have sex.
At this point, if we see it from a third view. A 24-year-old had consensual sex with a 14-year-old boy.
Haruki tells hikaru that they must finish what they are doing then hikaru blackmail haruki.
-Haruki was feeling bad about what he did when hikaru called him and agreed to see him and threats start. And then Hikaru rape haruki. and haruki thought " all I need to do is to bear with this"
And their twisted relationship began.
now. Ch 15 Haruki has like what? 27 years old? and hikaru 17 . They spent 4 years with this nightmare. Haruki he is beginning to realize his feelings towards Hikaru. He has what we call Stockholm Syndrome and he is terrified about those feelings and wants to destroy them.
We are nearing the end, we are only 2 gap from the ch. 1.

Again with this Stockholm syndrome but thanks for the summary and timeline. 4 years, shoot. The mental torture is insane. I just wanna go back to the present because someone really died and I just wanna know if it is Haruka or not or no one died.
I may have a different interpretation of "realizing his feelings" since it is delivered cryptically. What he figured out was that he cannot accept his brother's love yet he still loves him as a brother so he can't kill him or harm him thus he resorted to suicide. Just saying.
