As a bi person it annoys me so much! There's a time and a place where it CAN work, i.e. if the character was forcing themselves to be in relationships with girls and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working or if they never had any interest in girls to begin with and so they just assumed they were straight cause... you know, comphet. I enioy BL for what it is, it's that simple. There's definitely a lot of harmful tropes in it, so as a kid it definitely gave me the wrong impression, but people grow and I at least hope that most people realise that BL isn't realistic. Basically, as long as people are aware that BL isn't "real" as such, and as long as they don't bring real people ...... 3 reply
honestly i think i'm okay with most tropes (づ￣ ³￣)づ i guess the one yaoi trope i really hate and usually don't read is rape to love cause i don't really get it and i think it's pretty disturbing ╮(￣▽￣)╭ also mangas where one of the partners is like really homophobic and wants all gay people to die and then gets fucked in the ass...... reply
i tend to stay away from mangas that are tagged with rape or incest since i can't stomach either
